Well, its friday and we still don't have the
vocal's down. Bloody hard to get them done
this time round for some reason. I seem to
freak when I'm standing in the booth. I know
Gibbon's and Alan are watching and listening.
When Alan's there, you've got the worlds
biggest critic keeping a over analytical ear
on your singing. It tends to make you shake,
and I'm not joking. I have sucked though and
I was ready for kicking in the whole fucking
place when I done my 3rd take with still no
luck. Maybe its my hayfever? It is really bad
right now. I suck, but in recording, I can
usually pull it out and get the job done.
We're going for an aggressive style as well,
which, is a bit harder to get right. Any way
that's why we're not posting anything. We spent
12 hours thursday, 3 today and we still need
to finish the vocals on Monday (the day before
we leave >< )
Speaking of which- it's a funny story really.
On thursday, as we made our way to the studio,
I stopped at a cash line so I could get money
out for mucho food. As i stood there talking
to Gibbons about taxi drivers, the god damn
machine ate my card! Not the guys before me
or the Old tart after me! Just mine! So i'm on
the verge of getting the money I'm owed from work
and now I've no way of getting it out my account,
what with being half-way across the world and all.
Just my luck! You should have seen my face. It
couldn't be more ironic. It's almost funny.
Any way, not much else to say. Naku posted another
rant today, which has since been taken down. It
was another heart felt one, only this one
mentioned her relationship with her Dad. Yet another
thing we've had in common over the past 2 rants.
I'd love to enlighten you all about what i feel
and shit but I'm lazy and not in the mood to depress
you all. The last one seemed to do it enough. I
wasn't all that depressed when I wrote it but a lot
of you have expressed your opinion that it was
very depressing. If you want to read my reply just

work on my singing voice.

Going from a big, massive blog like fridays,
to a schize one like today's seems weird. You
may already know about why there is yet another
"dead" day, but at the risk of sounding redundant
I'll tell you again. The squirrels (us) are
recording some stuff before we all go on holiday
and I didn't have time to get a comic drawn. I
have the idea ready, but with all the practice,
work and sleep this week, it's been impossible
to do it. Well, a good one anyway. I hope you
all can forgive me. As a present to you all,
I'm going to try and post a sample of the new
tracks on friday, so keep an eager eye out.
I must dash, but please keep checking on friday,
and keep in contact via the guestbook/ emails.
